All about our delivery, collection and postage schedules, prices and processes. Thinking about what to buy, when it’ll be ready and how it will get to you? Here’s all you need to know.

How it works

Add your order to your shopping cart, then go to the checkout, plus in your billing and shipping details (if different from each other) and choose the appropriate delivery or collection method for you. If you don’t see an option there, I’m afraid it isn’t available for your postcode at this current time.

Anything ordered from our website can be collected from the shop Tuesday to Saturday 10 am to 5 pm. For bespoke orders and items of a more delicate nature and shorter shelf life that are needed on a Tuesday (such as doughnuts and cakes), please allow us time to make the products (on the Tuesday morning) by collecting from 1 pm onwards. If you need something for a Sunday or Monday, please collect on the Saturday before. Simply leave a comment in the notes section at checkout or reply to your order confirmation email and we will make a plan with you.

If you need our products delivered to you within the Sheffield area, our local deliveries are made on Fridays between about lunchtime and 5 pm. We can’t guarantee an exact timeslot, only that it will be on Friday afternoon. Please make sure that the address you are having your items delivered to will have someone available to receive (or a suitable safe place available for us to leave the product) as we cannot attempt redelivery at a later time or date. Any order that can’t be delivered will be returned to the shop and will be available for collection the next day. 

Need something on a different day? We are on CityGrab, Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat so you can get a box set of our products delivered to you or your chosen recipient in the Sheffield area within the hour. We can’t offer our party cakes and other specific items this way but you can order flapjacks, Beast cookies, regular cookies, traybakes, doughnuts and sweets.

DELIVERY METHODS FOR OUR PRODUCTS

FLAPJACKS, COOKIES, CAKE MAGNUMS

All of our flapjack products, Cake Magnums, Monster Cookies, Boxes of Buddies, Pop-Up Party Slab Kit Boxes and Loaded Slabs can be delivered by Royal Mail post, local delivery by us or can be collected from the shop. We advise extra care measures upon receipt of postal items during warmer weather, such as putting your unopened order in the fridge to cool thoroughly before handling the contents.

BAKED DOUGHNUTS & luxury traybakes

Our baked doughnuts are delicate products that need to be enjoyed fresh, within a few days of production. Our Choccy Road, Tiffin and Millionaire’s Slices have a much longer shelf life but are quite delicate.

Therefore, we are unable to post our Doughnut Box Sets, the Giant Celebration Doughnut or any Box Sets containing a mix of products including doughnuts (for example, the Party Box, Sharing Box or the Two and Two Box) or any Luxury Traybake items and box sets. 

We are able to deliver our doughnut-based and traybake-based products within the Sheffield area (please see Delivery & Postage Prices for eligible postcodes), or they can be ordered via our delivery platform partners, or collected from our shop.

These products take a little more planning and so we ask for a week’s notice. It is sometimes possible to make them with less notice than this so please ask, there is probably something we can do to help. 

Our party cakes are for collection or local delivery only, they are not able to be posted or couriered and are not available on our partner delivery platforms. They can be ready to be collected on the day you need them, as long as enough notice has been given so that we can plan everything in. Please be aware that we do not deliver outside of Friday afternoons so if your cake is required on a different day, please make arrangements for someone to collect from the shop, Tuesday to Saturday.

Posting Schedule

Generally we are able to post out orders every Thursday to Saturday, although we are sometimes able to post out orders on Tuesdays and Wednesdays as well, if our production schedule and stock levels allow. We endeavour to send as many postal orders out by the end of our working week as possible.

If you are ordering products for a specific event or deadline, please order in enough time for your treats to be produced, packed and posted. Choosing first class rather than second class post doesn’t reduce the production time, it only reduces the postage time.

Please note that during bouts of extremely hot weather, we reserve the right to pause posting so that your products arrive in the condition they were intended. If this is the case, we will post about it on our social media pages and where possible, let customers know if it affects their order schedule.

Delivery Schedule

Products ordered through our website for local delivery will be delivered on a Friday afternoon from lunchtime to 5 pm. Delivery times cannot be guaranteed and no specific timeslot can be given. Please see the Delivery & Postage Prices section for eligible postcodes.

Please make sure that the address you are having your items delivered to will have someone available to receive (or a suitable safe place available for us to leave the product) as we cannot attempt redelivery at a later time or date. Any order that can’t be delivered will be returned to the shop and will be available for collection the next day. 

Holding an event? Absolutely need something specific delivered during the day on a specific day? For larger orders where the wedding, christening or special event is being held on a particular day, the delivery and set up costs are included as part of the quote and these fall outside of our normal local delivery arrangements. These kinds of orders are generally not handled by our website, please get in touch with us here or here so we can talk in more detail about your exact requirements.

Seasonal Special Events. When we have seasonal special events, we set up a special local delivery round, which will generally be the day of/day before, whichever is most appropriate, Tuesday to Saturday. These include Valentine’s Day, Easter Sunday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween and Christmas. Details of when these products will be available for delivery and collection will be described in each product listing at the time they are available.

Delivery & postage prices

We deliver to the following Sheffield postcodes:
  • S2, S7, S8, S11, S14, S17 costs £6.50
  • S1, S3, S4, S5, S6, S10, S12 costs £8.50

We are not currently able to deliver outside of these postcodes but collection from the shop is always available. 

We send flapjack and cookie products (no doughnuts) to the rest of the UK, including the Highlands and islands, using:
  • Royal Mail Second Class Signed For: £5.00 per item
  • Royal Mail First Class Signed For: £6.50 per item

The shipping address can be different to the billing address, just fill in the relevant parts of the checkout page. Please ensure that shipping details are completely correct before confirming your order. We cannot accept responsibility for incorrect or incomplete addresses.

If you are sending multiple items to the same address, we may be able to combine postage (it’s weight-dependent). If this is the case and we are able to reduce the postage costs, we will let you know and send you a voucher code for money off your next order. 

Collecting from the shop

If you’d like to collect your order from us, that would be great! The YAY! Flapjacks shop is at 749 Abbeydale Road, Sheffield, S7 2BG, near the bottom of Carterknowle Road. We are open Tuesday to Saturday 10 am to 5 pm. 

For this option, simply select “Collect from the shop” from the delivery options at checkout and let us know in the notes section, or reply to your order confirmation email, about when you would like to collect them. If you only know the date, that’s fine, we don’t have collection timeslots.

Delivery Instructions

Buying a gift for someone? Need your flapjacks ready by a certain day? If you have specific instructions about your order, are pre-ordering for a date in the future or there is anything you need us to know, you can also let us know in the notes field of the checkout page (the most ideal option) or alternatively you can reply to your order confirmation email with the details we need.

For all requests, please bear in mind the production schedule, turnaround times and local delivery options described above.

Please don’t send these extra details via social media, the contact forms on our website or separate email threads as it’s difficult to then connect these instructions with your order details and we can’t take responsibility for any errors that may occur because of this. Please reply to your order confirmation email as everything will be kept together and we can see exactly what you’ve ordered and what we need to do. Thank you.
